UPI ID, full form Unified Payments Interface Identification, is a unique identifier that allows for the easy sending and receiving of payments within India's UPI (Unified Payments Interface) system. Developed by the National Payments Corporation of India (NPCI), UPI facilitates instant money transfer between bank accounts via a mobile platform. A UPI ID, also called a Virtual Payment Address (VPA), essentially acts like an email address for your money.
To find your UPI ID on GPay, follow these steps:

UPI has revolutionised the digital payments landscape in India by making it easy, quick, and safe to transfer money electronically between parties. This system supports peer-to-peer (P2P) and peer-to-merchant (P2M) transactions, significantly enhancing the ease of conducting financial transactions for everyday needs.
Now, you can use your mobile payment apps to make payments on Grip Invest.
1. Can I have multiple UPI-IDs for the same bank account?
Yes — many UPI apps allow you to create more than one UPI-ID (virtual payment address) linked to the same underlying bank account or across accounts.
2. What happens if I forget or lose my UPI-ID?
You can retrieve your UPI-ID from the UPI app: go to profile or bank account section and you should see all your linked UPI-IDs.
3. Is the UPI-ID unique across all apps or can different apps use different IDs for me?
Different apps may allow different UPI-IDs for you, even if you link the same bank account; uniqueness is per app/alias, so you might end up with multiple IDs across apps.
4. Can I change or customise my UPI-ID after creation?
Yes — many apps let you choose a custom alias (like yourname@bank) or change your UPI-ID later (subject to the app’s rules).
5. Does my UPI-ID automatically link to all my bank accounts or only one?
Usually only one account is linked when you set up. If you add more bank accounts in the app, you may choose to use the same UPI-ID or create separate ones per account depending on the app.
6. Will someone else be able to send money to me if they know my UPI-ID but not which bank I am using?
Yes — as long as the UPI-ID is valid and active, money can be sent to you even if the sender doesn’t know your bank details; the funds will be routed to the bank account linked to that UPI-ID.
