  • Execute the Trade on T+1 — Place the sell order with your demat broker between 9:30 AM and 2:00 PM. Note: Pricing is valid till T+1 day and will change if the order is not placed within that window. T is the date of sending the sell request.

Yes, there is a charge of 0.25%, which is adjusted in the price of the bond offered by the buyer. Please note that your demat broker may additionally charge transaction fees.

The sale price is determined by prevailing market conditions and the demand from buyers on the secondary market. Grip obtains competitive bids from investors to reflect the fair market value for your bonds.

The sale transaction gets settled within 1 working day. On T day, you place the sell request and receive the price. The sell order can be placed by T+1 day (max by 2 PM). After the sell order is executed, the amount is credited to your registered bank account on T+1.

If no buyers are available at your sale price, the order may not execute immediately. You can wait or revise the price. Grip actively works to maintain liquidity, but cannot guarantee an immediate sale in all cases.

Selling bonds before maturity can result in either capital gains or capital losses, depending on the sale price versus your purchase price. Short-term capital gains (STCG) are taxed at your applicable income tax slab rate, while long-term capital gains (LTCG) are generally taxed at a specified flat rate without indexation benefits, as per the prevailing tax rules for the type of bond you hold.
