When it comes to investing money, regulation and compliance are of utmost importance. We understand that you, as an investor, would like to earn attractive returns while also protecting yourself from fraud or misrepresentation of risk.
At Grip, we value the trust you place in us and hence provide you with an investment platform that is SEBI-regulated, offers the safety of investing through the NSE, and only offers you SEBI-regulated investment options.
Grip Invest is a SEBI-regulated OBPP (Online Bond Platform Provider) with registration number INZ000312836. SEBI introduced the OBPP regulation in 2022 to provide retail investors access to diverse fixed-income investments like bonds and SDIs. Under the OBPP regulation, SEBI provided guidelines to reduce the minimum ticket size for investing, increased transparency through mandatory requirements for credit rating and enabled provisions for investor protection.
The Fixed-Income Market was once considered an offline, non-transparent, and in-efficient marketplace due to offline payments, delays in securities transfer to the investors’ Demat account, large requirements of initial capital, and the absence of liquidity.
To offer the same security and convenience as buying shares, Grip Invest has integrated with the NSE (National Stock Exchange) to allow investments in fixed-income securities.
Here are some benefits for investors:
We offer Corporate Bonds and SDIs as investment products. Both of these products are issued under SEBI regulations and are also listed on the stock exchange. We work with some of the most reputed advisors to ensure 100% legal and regulatory compliance for all investment options. This includes law firms like J Sagar Associates, credit rating agencies like CRISIL, CARE and ICRA, and SEBI registered trustees like Beacon and Mitcon.
Credit rating agencies also ensure that each investment option receives an independent risk evaluation and credit rating, allowing you to make a more informed decision.
Ensuring regulatory compliance and building a transparent investment platform has always been a core principle at Grip. This philosophy led us in Oct’22 to become the first company to offer an NSE-listed SDI as an investment option. In Oct’23, Grip also became the 1st fully compliant OBPP platform.
